Here's the second show from Birmingham. I've always thought it was a good 95 show. The songs are not cookie-cutter versions and, despite one reviewer who bitched about the show being "so short", the run time is over two and a half hours. Highlight for me:

The zenith for the night (for either night, really) is the Morning Dew that comes out of the Miracle after D>S. I think it's energetic and Garcia's voice sounds as good as then as at any point within 5 shows. (Will I be changing my ringtone from the 1967-10-22 Dew opener to this one? Hell, no. But, for a bunch of Ala. Heads that got see the goGD on their hometurf only every other decade, it works.)

Other points of interest:
**10+minute Row Jimmy.
**A nice TMNS that brings the piano front and center with Garcia during the jam-outro.
**HCS is short but quicker-paced than usual.
**I like the Truckin' outro jam and while not a big fan of That Would Be Something, it seems to fit here.
**A UJB that is still going strong at the 11 min mark.
**This segues into a frenzied Mathilda (where did this song come from?) that sounds like Alvin and the Chipmunks doing Jimmy Buffett.
**A nice, dark Miracle
